|Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from The Brantley’s! 2020 has been full of ups and downs. We know for many it has even had more downs than ups. We continue to pray for those affected by COVID. We pray for those especially that have lost friends and loved ones.
When we sent out our Christmas cards we included a message that told you all we had a leave date of January 18, 2021. We do have tickets for that date. However, some new restrictions have been put in place in the Philippines that, as of now, will not allow us to travel to the Philippines. We have been emailing the embassy on a regular basis and last week they told us that our sponsoring agency in the Philippines could request an exemption to the new travel visa requirements. This is not a guarantee, but please be praying that they will grant us a travel visa. We are continuing to prepare for a leave date of the 18th.
Now some fun news. We were able to see several friends and family over the Christmas Holiday. We continued to work on our good-good byes. We were able to visit my sister, brother in law and nephew in Tennessee. Then we spent some time in Schuyler’s home town and saw friends there that might as well be family. We also were overwhelmed by all of the Christmas cards and gifts that we received throughout the last few weeks. The love that we felt was amazing. Thank you all for that.
Our biggest event over the holiday, was being able to host and officiate the wedding of two dear friends. They told Schuyler at our commissioning service that they wanted him to perform the ceremony before we left for the Philippines. So, on December 19, 2020, we had the privilege of hosting and officiating the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Frazer. I am including a couple of fun pictures from their day.
We love each and every one of you. We thank you for your partnership in the mission God has called us to. You are important to the success in the Philippines.
