After months of not meeting, we are pleased to receive some news and photos of Dorcas Sewing Center Classes meeting in India once again. Pastor Prakash Pamu sent a very encouraging report recently giving us opportunity to thank God for new ministry opportunities. Dorcas Sewing Centers offer women a six-month course in tailoring. There is also a daily devotion and prayer. Many of those enrolled are Hindu and Muslim, and they faithfully attend in spite of the heavy Christian influence and some give their hearts to Christ. At graduation, each successful student is awarded a new treadle sewing machine that they can use to support their families. The machines cost about $50 USD (depending on exchange rate). The student pays half the cost and a mission stipend pays the other half. All costs associated with the classes are supported by your donations. To help please visit donate.generalbaptist.com or text “give” to 573-282-7171 – select International Missions and then type Dorcas Sewing Center in the note field that appears. Thank you.
