GBBC Update August 2020

Dear Ministry Partners,

Today, August 25, 2020, we officially started School Year 2020-2021 for our Basic Education Department with 389 students.

Our college department, on the other hand, started a week ago with 28 students.

This is not our regular enrollment because we normally have a population of over 600 students. But we are so thankful that God has blessed us with this number. We are still praying that God will send us more students.

Please continue to pray for us as the numbers tell us that we need to have other means to sustain the operations of the school to keep our doors open.

Please also pray for our faculty and staff as we are all adjusting to this new normal of distance learning. This is new to us and we are struggling to keep up with the demands of the blended learning approach, trying to accommodate both online and offline learning modalities, considering our very limited technical resources.

Please pray for our parents and students as well. They are also trying to cope with home schooling plus the challenges of not having reliable internet connection.

Today, we had to make sure all the printed packets, videos, and all other digital learning materials are ready and at the same time students are able to access Google classroom. Some of us had not slept and had to stay on campus overnight to work on the editing, finalization and printing of modules, and also the editing of videos.

Please pray for wisdom, patience, good health, and strength for all of us as we navigate through these very trying times. Please help us pray also that God will supply all our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support to us. We sincerely need your partnership now more than ever.

May God grant us His favor in all of this and may He bless GBBC as it strives to survive. Thank you once again. Be blessed, stay healthy and safe!

For His glory,
Joyce C. Porcadilla-Rubia
